You better have all your pencils sharpened, your dice balanced, and all your character generation sheets collated. A brand new world is about to take form. Just remember one key rule written by Carl von Clausewitz in the early 1800s; "No Battle Plan has ever survived First Contact with the Enemy". It would seem the hype of the event and the actual numbers are not close to each other. This seems to be good news for both the Con and for us. I will look to see if there is a spot I can squeeze into once at the convention. It might be to late to coordinate on our end to host in another time slot I will look to allow for Open Gaming time if there seems to be interest.

Tom Brady comments on Sympathy is nice, but no matter what, put your best foot forward.

Hi, I'm the Hotel Liaison for Midwest FurFest, so Programming scheduling isn't really my department. I will say, though, that the tabletop gaming room generally has at least one open table available for informal gaming. Perhaps you could work with the Yarrick and Synicism (gaming.2010@furfest.org) to set up a second demo at some other time during the weekend? Unfortunately it's too late to get the information into convention publications, but I believe they keep a whiteboard in the room for gaming-related announcements/scheduling information. For what it's worth, the Furry Variety Show generally attracts about 500-700 people out of a convention of 2,000, so certainly all is not lost!

-Tom Brady, aka Duncan da Husky

Randal L.
